The Prototype for a Self-Sustainable, Off-the-Grid Community in the Delaware Valley
A Healthy Lifestyle is one in which we invest in the care of our selves, our neighbors and The Earth. Eden Ecovillage is the prototype to a modern day Ecovillage that will attempt to put into practice tenets of sustainability, bioregeneration, permaculture and participatory democracy.
A self-sustainable community center will be situated at the center of the ecovillage where residents and
members can converge to have meetings, hold events, recreate, and socialize.
Through the development of greenhouses, verticle farming, and gardens, we aim to provide sufficient vegetation for the community to rely on for its own basic needs.
Our Ecosystem will thrive off of systems regenerating one another. We plan to harness waste to use as fertilizer for the crops that we will consume. Solar panels, wind generation, and a hydroelectric system will meet the energy needs of our village. Good will be refurbished, reused and recycled. Nothing will be wasted.
Gamel Milk is the prototype to a self-sustainable camel farm that will
be harnessed to bottle camel milk and sold off to generate revenue.

Garments, Tapestry, and other woven goods may be produced by a weaving machine that will be stored and maintained on site. Classes will also be offered to residents, members and laypersons to instruct people on how to tapestry weave and make one's own clothing.
The ecovillage will utilize an age old system of consenus decision making to develop unity around governance and help maintain social cohesion. This direct-democratic method of governance embraces inclusion, tolerance, and dissent as important principles to developing agreements.
At Eden Ecovillage, we aim to utilize resources in a renewable fashion. Methane gas from our camel farm, for example, will be converted into synthetic gas to power a small glass factory. The glass factory will produce glass bottles that will bottle the camel milk. Similarly, waste will be harnessed and utilized as fertilizer to help nourish our farms and gardens that will be utilized to sustain our residents.
In general, the central Ethos "Gaia - One Ecosystem" will be uphold and any concept that contravenes Gaia would be nullified. As such, the Village Council that will be established will promulgate ordinances and codes that would enhance the Eco-Sustainable Vision of Eden, increase the membership pool, strengthen revenue, and further advance the cause of the founding organization.
